8. This is the Part You Came For
Listen to the Full Episode:
Overview:
When you are part of the way through a challenging situation, path, process or class, your mind may inundate you with thoughts of worry, stress, quitting, and justifying your every complaint. Here is an alternative to following the urgings of your mind by being more deliberate and choosing what you think "on purpose."

Hey creatives, I’m C. Jordan Blaquera, and welcome to the Whispering Worth to the World Podcast.
I’m a Master-Certified Life and Artist Coach who specializes in working with creatives. This is where I share what I would tell my younger self, if I could, what I’ve learned about the art of being human, about our inherent divine equality, and how it all relates to navigating our creative expression in the world.
THIS IS THE PART YOU CAME FOR
Years ago, when I was one third of the way through Master Coach Training, I was already having life-altering a-ha moments. My mind was being blown. The learning was off the hook. It was absolutely amazing.
And…side-by-side, parallel to that magical experience, I also found moments where it didn’t at all feel magical. There were moments where I wanted to run for the hills, where it felt too overwhelming, too challenging, too scary, where it wasn’t fun anymore, where I thought this is too hard or they’re being unfair. There were moments where I started to cry “poor me” and complain how mean they were -- “they” being my Master Coach peers or my trainer.
There were times I would think I’m ready to take my ball and go home. There were other times when I would build a case for how someone else was wrong. And at those times, that was the part when I’d want to binge watch some TV show, or eat chocolate chip cookies…or both. TV and chocolate chip cookies.
There was the part where I’d think they’re all talking behind my back, and where I’d worry about being rejected…or being enough…or whether I was being too much…or a show off.
There was the part where I wondered like hell what “they” were thinking…about me.
And finding that my brain was running just a little bit amok, I inserted a pause when I got very intentional about directing my mind, and began to create the new part where I decided to make a change.
It was the new part where I said to myself, “Hey, I have no idea what they’re thinking,” and I realize that it’s none of my business anyway. That’s when I told myself it’s not what they’re thinking that matters. What matters is what I am thinking.
So, what do you choose, Jordan? Moving forward, what do you want to think? What are you willing to think? About them? About yourself? About the circumstances?
And this is what I chose.
Hey Self,
They get to be them, and “they” get to think whatever “they’re” gonna think. But when it comes to you, this is the part where you have your own back, where you’re willing to stand alone with yourself, and be there for yourself.
This is the part where you show yourself what you’re made of, where you stare down those voices in your head and stop believing them.
This is the part where you become more of the woman you always hoped you’d be.
This is the part where you are actually become-ing.
This is the part where it feels like:
You
Keep
Getting
Knocked
Down.
And this is the part where you keep going.
This is the part where you think you’ve fallen down.
And then…
You
Keep
Getting
Up.
Over and over and over.
This is not the part that’s showing you a part of yourself that makes you unworthy.
This is not the part that means you made the wrong decision.
This is not the part that proves you don’t belong.
This is not the part where you reach the conclusion that you’re not cut out to become a Master Coach.
This is the part where there is:
Growth.
Expansion.
Letting go of self-imposed limitations.
Facing your fears.
Stay with it, Jordan.
This is the part you came for.
This part…that feels so hard, so magical, so uncomfortable, so life-altering, so awkward, and so challenging.
This is the exact part you came for.
